ACA Manager - Assistant Partner
Our client, one of the leading Chartered Accountancy Practices in Devon, wishes to recruit two new professional members of staff.
The positions have arisen due to dual retirement arrangements and succession has to be achieved.
Ideally, we seek ACA candidates with five years plus practice experience. Once partner status has been achieved, equity buy-in is envisaged.

Skill set required includes: Audit, Accounts and Tax - Direct Partner contact, clients - sole traders, limited companies, partnerships,
charities, clubs, associations and government agencies with a turnover that can be approaching 30M.
Good, thorough experience dealing with smaller firms turning over - 250K-1m.
Cover for partner in absence including all meetings and assisting with decision making.
Portfolios are valued in sterling at approximately 500-700K.
Become involved by introduction to networking circles with memberships to certain clubs and associations.
Reviewing staff members and holding training seminars.
Contributing to the firm's monthly journal - reporting on changes in legislation and new regulations.
Management of staff including Managers, Assistant Managers, Seniors, Semi Seniors and Juniors.
Responsible for special assignments including solicitors accounts reports, FSA regulated clients and charities,
client billing, client correspondence, intricate tax planning, revenue enquiries, managing client business sales and purchase,
working closely with corporate finance team, due diligence, cash flow projections, forecasts, budgeting and business plans.
Client meetings for accounts analysis, tax returns, tax planning and audits, writing of audit management letter, planning of audits including -
budgeting, managing man-power, reviewing and completion of audit files.
Review of VAT files, personal tax returns, review and computation of tax computations and CT600's, review and preparation of accounts and management accounts.
Overview and assist with management reporting, resolve any IT problems, be main contact for clients, keep an open-door-policy regarding troubleshooting.
Locate, meet and assess management consultancy capability and thoroughly assess costs and secure contracts.

This position is open to candidates from all types of Chartered Practice, possibly industry with accountancy practice as the first job.
