We have been retained by a government agency to find an accountant
to work in a finance team that supports the islands Financial
Director. The position is either island or mainland based. It
is mandatory that 4 days per month is spent in official office.
Job Specification
Member of finance team, reporting to Assistant Finance Director
Monitoring/maintaining the revenue and capital expenditure ledger
Provision of up-to-date budget information for members of council
and managers
Contribute towards all policies and procedures enhancements
Provide new compliance/regulations procedures for accounts production
to team
Meet budget holders to discuss data and information
Management information for budget preparation - end of year statement
of accounts.
Exchequer Officer liaison, Central government - agency financial
statistical returns.
Exchequer Officer cover – queries, payments, reports &
petty cash.
Analyse and integrate new legislation requirements into current
programme
Monitor council grants
Production of year end statements
Provide professional support for team members - seminars &
training programmes
