Practice Manager - Central Cornwall £25-40k
Ideally, we seek a qualified an accountancy professional with
at least 5 years practice experience. This position is working
in a medium sized firm with three current partners. Clients are
broad-based with an agricultural bias, including: retail shops,
retail industrial trade outlets, motor traders, garages, catalogue
mail order, engineering, farming, farm supplies, tourist venues,
confectionery manufactures, bakers, fishing, marine engineering,
hoteliers, private individuals and landed estates.
Responsibilities will include managing a team
of eleven professional support technicians, recruitment, training
and temporary staff. Experience in overseeing payroll operations
and problem solving will be expected. Good communication skills
and a friendly attitude are important credentials for the position.
You will be an important and integral part of the practice on
a daily basis and represent the partners and practice externally.
Qualifications sought are ACCA - ACA. A thorough knowledge of
tax computations for sole trader, partnerships, limited companies
and private individuals is paramount.
You will have the technical responsibility of working with a senior
partner, assisting with his heavy work schedule. A retirement
situation is in its initial planning stage at the moment. If your
personal and work profile integrate into the practice infrastructure,
this could be an opportunity for you to assume a Salaried Partner
position after five years service. Sage line 50 & 100, quickbooks
and IRIS should be familiar to you. Expect a very technical and
thorough interview which will last a full working day. This will
initially be conducted by an experienced Management Consultant
conversant with very complex accountancy practice procedures.
