Management Accountant job:
Leisure Resort in the South West - Up to £50k plus bens.
Our client a Global Multinational Leisure Company incorporating
hotel and resort management, construction, travel and direct sales,
currently employ 2,500 staff world-wide. There are three top-tier
resorts based in the UK. Over 600 people are currently employed
in England and this is set to increase due to business expansion.
A Management Accountant is required for operations based in the
UK. The role entails complete responsibility for the preparation
of monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory
accounts and day to day control of accounting within the hotels.
The company uses popular versions of recognised accountancy software.
Duties include the control and supervision of:
1. Production of monthly management accounts
2. Monitoring and analysis of relevant KPI's
3. Reconciliation and control of monthly stocktaking
4. Supervision of staff
5. Preparation of statutory accounts
6. Reconciliation of control accounts including, bank, payroll etc.
7. Maintenance of fixed asset register
8. Preparation and posting of journals
9. Daily monitoring and reporting of bank balances
10. Reconciliation of inter company transactions
11. Analysis and control of daily hotel receipts
12. Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly sales analysis reports
13. Preparation and supervision of payroll
14. Other ad hoc projects
The successful applicant must have at least 9 years accounting experience at a Supervisory or Management level and experience of supervising staff, driving operational and system improvements.
Either fully qualified or with significant relevant industry experience. The role is hands on and will involve working closely with Operational Management a strong personality and character is essential. Computer skills will incorporate complete competency in Microsoft Office.
Remuneration will be based on national market rate according to
candidate's professional qualifications, experience and potential
for future board appointment. This figure will be capped at 50K.
Relocation assistance will be offered as well as private family
medical cover.

and Consultancy. International travel to Arab Emirates, Eastern
Europe and the USA will be expected.
