Head of Tax - Manager
Our client, an established accountancy practice and business advisor
is expanding. We have been advised to search for a UK Tax specialist
with a strong technical background associated with UK Tax compliance
issues, planning and client service enhancement.
The ideal candidate will be ACA CTA qualified and be familiar with
dealing with small-medium and a few large businesses. Our clients
have advised us that good inter-personal communication skills are
required. "They need to be the person that external and internal accountants
and clients will want to talk to". Additionally, we seek an AAT ATT
to possibly work as a support Assistant Manager. A fabulous opportunity
for career enhancement, especially for a newly qualified ATT.
The following task specifications are what could be part of your monthly
work-flow plan:
- Understanding and experience of local economic and trading/corporate
structures.
- Building up or established good working relationships with Auditors,
Financial Controllers, Managing Directors and local Partners.
- Visible commercial arrangements, all compliance regulations, SOX404's.
Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns using a software
package like "Alphatax".
-Client visits obtaining all the tax information that is required
for all tax compliance issues and work.
- Close liaison with client director/partner/principal/financial controller
to manage work-flow.
- Preparation of budgets.
- Control of timely billing to minimise WIP and monitor efficient
recovery rates.
- meet filing deadlines to ensure that all CT600's are filed at the
required dates.
- Advising clients on when to make payments.
- Project work and tax implications, possible company valuations,
possible company reorganisations, possible company acquisitions and
sales, establishing share structure schemes, input into management
reports, budgets, tax forecasting.
- Dealing with the Inland Revenue in conjunction with tax issues.
- Organising and managing tax provisions including deferred tax calculations.
