Commercial Property Lawyer, Cornwall – 65/120K+

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a senior lawyer within our client’s Commercial Property Team, “A multi-site, 48 lawyer strong team”.

You would be joining a team that is, appreciated for its ‘outstanding expertise’ and ‘deep level of support’ (Legal 500, 2010).

We are looking for a candidate who is able to demonstrate the competencies listed below.

Job purpose This is a key role, making significant contribution to the overall work of the Commercial Property unit. Supporting the Team Leader with the ongoing growth and development of the unit and team-wide activities.  

Key responsibilities You must be able to demonstrate:

1. Excellent proven technical knowledge and track records of a broad range of commercial property law. Potential to be considered as ‘a subject matter expert’. 
2. Proven successful track record of the full range of business development and marketing activities and experience including developing and leading strategies and action plans for building and growing a practice area.
3. Strong focus on developing and maintaining professional and effective client relationships at all levels, with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
4. A highly flexible approach and the capability to work well and flourish within a team environment.
5. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues internally, both within the wider team and across all practice areas.
6. Experience of team management and/or supervision of others, for example successfully supervising and developing trainees/paralegals and potential to lead a team would be a distinct advantage.
7. Experience of and genuine interest in Agricultural Law and developing Agricultural based clients, whilst not essential, would be a distinct advantage.
