We are currently looking to fill an education lawyer job vacancy in Devon UK.
Salary - £40 to 100K
Our client a very successful law firm seek to employ a specialist education lawyer that has in excess of three - five years + PQE. Experience acting as advisor to parents, education arts, libraries committee, schools, fee paying schools, universities and their governing bodies, government agencies – departments, additionally teachers, professors, mature, overseas and asylum seeker students.
The successful candidate must advise taking into account client care and equal opportunities policies in accordance with educational authorities, requirements, statements and guidelines.
Give sound and constructive policy advice to executives in educational government departments, head teachers, administrators and professors in education facilities, education offices, educational arts and libraries on all aspects of law with particular reference to the schools standard and framework act.
Act as legal advisor to statutory bodies:
Educational Appeals Panels
Admission Forum
Mediation office
School Organisational Committee
Advisory regarding religious education
Policy advice to clients, including drafting and vetting reports and attending all necessary meetings for cases.
Give legal advice to head teachers and governing bodies and conduct litigation for clients.
Structure advocacy plans and advise council
Work with both clients and other lawyers to ensure that advice to schools in fully informative from the legal perspective.
Provide training on new legislation and aspects of the law to service areas, schools, universities, colleges, and their governing bodies.
Advise both clients and special needs school departments on the conduct of SEN appeals; Attend SEN tribunals and judicial reviews.
Work closely with personnel and recruitment officers to ensure all integrated advice is given on all relevant matters.
Ensure that all educational clients meet all of their required statutory requirements
Provide legal support and overview documentation for authority bids for external resources.
Marketing the firm to local authorities, schools, universities, colleges and companies.
