We currently have a Head of Private Client Services job vacancy in Cornwall at a local law firm.

Partner / Designate Partner / Associate Manager / Assistant Manager - £30 to 60k.

The client, a four partner law firm, with fabulous offices in beautiful locations of Cornwall. Have retained our recruitment search firm to submit a short-list of five candidates for this assignment.

We are currently engaged in search for a private client lawyer, as described below.

Maybe an established private client lawyer 10 PQE+ who is a currently a partner with either a local or nationwide based law firm.

An ambitious private client lawyer 3/5 PQE+, currently interested in applying for a designate partner opportunity.

F/ILEX professional 5 PQE +, interested in an assistant manager private client position, leading to manager status within a two year time-frame.

Succession is the drive behind this search assignment, lead in time to be negotiated. Relocation assistance could be available.

The position is to manage a small-medium sized private client business. That has gained an excellent reputation with both local and a few nationwide clients since the early 1800’s.

Private client work will include:

Drafting of wills, drafting of complex wills, probate, general estates work, LPA’s, acting for clients in residential homes, COP work, administration of more complex estates and trust work, possible tax work, court of protection matters, dealing with some high net worth clients – mainly farmers and local business people, possible knowledge of conveyancing, more complex estate planning , some EPA work, membership of STEP/TEP, ideal.

You should have experience in most of the above work. Local clients are based in Cornwall, Devon and the Isles of Scilly.

Charity Lawyer Devon

We have two charity law job vacancies in Devon:
Charity Lawyer - £30 to 70K
Partner - Charities - £80 to 160K

We have been asked to assist in finding either of the above stated types of legal professional, hopefully with 3-5 years PQE+.
The partner opportunity, 10 years PQE +.

Our client is a very successful local law firm, expanding their business portfolio of charity and non-profit making clients.

Ideally you should currently be working in a UK law firm, dealing with clients such as: - Charity, non-profit, co-operatives, faith organisations, social enterprise, community, employee benefit trusts, public sector and teaching clients.

Providing legal, strategic, policy advice and services: - Incorporation, securing charitable tax status, regulatory compliance issues, planned giving, general legal services, (contracts, insurance, employment issues, tax issues, government relations etc.) Issues of organizational structure, governance and strategic planning (mergers, partnerships, trusteeships, business activities, grants, loans and fundraising etc.) Charity governance issues, formation, registration, trading and general fundraising issues. Intellectual property and general property work, trade mark registrations, intricate financings, problem solving – dispute resolution and general litigation and possess in-depth knowledge of the Charities act 2006.

The successful candidate will have considerable intellectual self-confidence, a broad range of interests, an inquisitive mind and a willingness to apply legal concepts to a variety of different situations. Will be flexible, hardworking, and enthusiastic. The job is ideal for a lawyer that loves variety and has exceptional communication skills.

Business development, marketing, networking will be an important part of this job. Our successful candidate will posses a good track record in this sector of business.

Partner - Clinical Negligence

300K package - “Partner – with team of lawyers – 1.5m + budget” - Our client, a large law business with offices based throughout the West Country, have appointed our firm to locate Clinical Negligence Partners - Lawyers with expertise, knowledge and contacts within the vast and complex region of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury. We hope to identify either a Partner or Partner with a focused team - entourage of highly skilled CN/PI lawyers.

The future Equity Partner should have knowledge and experience of the following: Highly skilled in administrative law and judicial review inquests regarding clinical negligence and personal injury disaster law. When death is related to medical treatment, catastrophic birth, pursuing claims against the legal profession arising out of the mishandling of clinical negligence claims against NHS, private hospitals, health trusts and medical institutions, actions against government departments and human rights act litigation and employment law. Work experience in extremely severe cases resulting in High Court and County claims.

A new Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury legal team is under current construction. The business will cover - Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and other selected regions of the UK.

Private Client Lawyer - Partner / Assistant Partner

£100K+ salary - Busy law firm with private client department housing over 16,000 wills, plenty of contentious and non contentious probate work.

Additionally will drafting, inheritance tax planning, estate administration, power of attorney, court of protection and deputyship applications, issues affecting the elderly, trust law and administration including disabled beneficiaries, personal injury, continuing care, compensation trusts, membership of STEP, probate section of the law society and solutions for the elderly ideal.
