We are currently looking to fill an office manager / company accountant job vacancy in Cornwall.
ACCA / CIMA - £30 to 35k

Our clients a top 100, local specialist manufacturing company, seek to appoint the above. They have a financial turnover in excess of 19M and export their specialist product range to all corners of the globe.

The position involved running the entire accountancy and financial reporting function. Managing: credit control, purchase ledger, VAT, cost accounting, budgeting, payroll and management reporting.

Career progression will be available for the right candidate. We seek an ambitious accountant who is looking to join a forward thinking firm, who have expansion plans on the horizon.
This position is open to accountants who work in both Chartered Practice and Industry.

Designate Practice Partner

A Designate Practice Partner job in central Cornwall (FCA, ACA, ACCA, CTA)
Large Chartered Practice - 50 to 100+K

Our client, one of the premier names in the world of Cornish Chartered Accountancy, seek the above professional. You should currently be working at manager status with an excellent technical understanding of all tax, audit and corporate-compliance accountancy work.

The job involves managing a very large portfolio of clients – 1-20m t/o. You will have a team working for you of approximately 10-15 professionals. This position is open to candidates based both locally and nationwide.

Ideally you will have at least 5-7 years PQE+ and have the desire to become a Partner, sooner rather than later. Additionally, high-level client facing skills, experience in work planning, pricing and budgeting is desirable too.

Assistance with relocation could be an option that is available.

Corporate Services Manager

40 to 60K - ACA / ACCA 4 years+ PQE - Local Chartered firm seek a corporate services manager.

Undertake client audit and accounts work.

Ensure that all of the department’s assignments are completed to high standard.

All time management functions, identifying and resolving problems, management consultations, knowledge of clients internal reporting and control systems, minimise the disruption to the client’s own staff.

Proof read teams work, keep partners in the loop of all possible problems, time recording on client’s affairs, planning and reviewing audit departments assignments, liaison with the tax department regarding companies and directors tax affairs, tax disputes, marketing of the firm’s services and finally keeping up to date with company tax.

Corporate Tax Manager

Senior Manager - ACA / CTA – 40 to 60K - Chartered firm seek a corporate tax manager.

The position involves dealing with tax department clients.

Providing tax compliance services and assist with advising and consultancy services.

Servicing corporate and personal tax clients will involve complex tax work, computation of all time management figures and submit to partners, notifying tax partners of any problems, proof read and check all work, keeping other partners and certain managers in the loop of possible problems, tax work will be company and subsidiary orientated with some international flavoured dealings.

Motivating and training your team will be high upon the agenda.

Liaison with the corporate services department regarding special client tax issues.

Finally assist with marketing of the firm’s services.

Audit Manager – Designate Partner

50 to 100K (ACA / ACCA / ICAEW) - Our client, a major local practice with a premier league client base seeks an audit manager / designate partner.

You will be responsible for planning and organising major client audits, as well as hopefully being part of the “sharp end” marketing and new account pitching team.

Big audit experience 11m t/o + is required and on joining you will inherit one of the largest client portfolios.

Your team will be highly qualified, technically advanced and very motivated. Your prospects will be agreed in advance the “partnership deal”.

Job specification includes:
Plan and review departmental assignments, ensure compliance with internal and external procedural & regulatory requirements are adhered too. Plan and manage assignments, ensuring all the necessary resources are available. Use resources effectively and keep partners informed of progress. Or new possibilities of future business or likely tricky problems. Liaise with the tax department concerning client’s and directors tax issues. Marketing support, aware of all company operational rules and regulations, prepare engagement budgets and agree figures, assist in tenders and formal proposals, quote for new arrangements, manage work in progress and monthly billing levels, control recovery rates, observe and control time recording procedures, finally manage departments financial results.
