We have three law firm clients situated in the South West UK that are looking for Agri-specialist lawyers.  All can offer different styles of career opportunity and the prospects to match.  A client following would be of definite interest to our law firm clients.

 

The position’s responsibilities include management of own caseload, management of support staff, advising and meeting expectations of commercial clients, problem solving, working solo or working as part of a specialist team of lawyers and support staff in high value deals.

 

Marketing and networking with national and regional businesses, banks, surveyors, land agents,  regulatory bodies, large corporate and property developers, mining and quarry firms, wildlife trusts, national parks and the national trust.

 

Knowledge and work experience required includes:

  • Advising on, drafting, submitting planning applications and government funding.
  • Draft applications for renewable energy projects.
  • Agricultural commercial sales, purchase and development of land and retail parks.
  • Drafting of s106 planning agreements with government agencies.
  • s104’s with utility companies.
  • Way leave agreements with commercial utility companies.
  • Optional agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating large corporate mobile phone lease agreements, overages, and covenant and easement issues.
  • Tenancy succession advice, planning and environmental law issues.
  • Securities work.
  • Business sales and purchases.
  • Business change of usage.
  • Licensing and the leisure industry.
  • Affordable housing development, mines.
  • Minerals and waste management, disposable and landfill.
  • Multimillion pound commercial property sale & purchase and development deals.
  • Agricultural tenancies.
  • Farm contracting and share farming agricultural landlord & tenant and all types of associated leases.
  • Be familiar with the law of agricultural holdings.
  • Private and agricultural landlord and tenant law.
  • Stewardship schemes.
  • Grazing rights.
  • Shooting and sporting rights.
  • Environmental management matters.
  • Property development and farm business tenancies.
  • Easements and licences,
  • Single farm payments and entitlements,
  • Agricultural land tribunal and arbitrations.
  • Taxation.
  • Blood stock issues.
  • All relevant aspects and a good knowledge of agri-business and all of its complexities.
