International Facilities Manager (Soft Services), 90-160K, – Singapore.

Our client,  a UK multi-national, based in Asia, seek to appoint a Head of International Facilities Manager.

Ideally we seek a candidate who has possibly worked in the luxury hospitality industry.  Looking after world corporate clients and their key top executives is high on the agender.

As well as organising and sorting state-of-the-art, uber-luxurious office design management.  Incorporating all of the high-tech electronic business tools that todays chic decision making corporate sharp-suits use.

You will be responsible for the management of international services, processes and the environment that support the core businesses of our client’s linked international organisations.  Ensuring that their business operations have the most suitable, comfortable and luxurious working environments for all employees and their activities in different international business locations.

Duties will vary from project to project, but you will focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, employee comfort and corporate production.

As well as keeping within defined big-budget operating costs, whilst assisting and monitoring top-level employee satisfaction and corporate optimal performance.

This is a wide-field with a diverse range of Soft Services responsibilities, which are dependent on the structure of our client’s external linked international organisations.

As International Facilities Manager specialising in Soft Services,  you will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and uber-luxury premises that are located in different world-wide international business locations.

Key areas of Soft Services Management responsibility include:-

  • Procurement and contract management.
  • Buildings and grounds maintenance.
  • Organising  interior design consultancy.
  • Cleaning contracts and services.
  • Contributing to financial accounts management.
  • Front of house.
  • Porterage.
  • Reprographics.
  • Marketing.
  • Budget management.
  • Luxury catering and vending.
  • Health and safety.
  • High level security.
  • Utilities and communications infrastructure.
  • Space management.
  • Manage property luxury interior re-design.
  • Employee welfare and comfort.
  • Medical facilities.
  • Special state-of-the-art business facilities.
  • General travel facilities.
  • Aircraft, yachts and vehicles.

Your new position could involve international crises-cover.  Reaching out to all sectors across our client’s diverse industry base.

The nature of the work may be reflected with different job titles,  such as operations, estates, technical services, and asset or property manager.

Responsibilities often cover several departments, as well as central services that link to all the teams within our clients organisation.

Key functions of this job include:-

  • Preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors.
  • Project management and managing and coordinating work of contractors.
  • Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises.
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
  • Liaising with tenants of commercial properties.
  • Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, and waste disposal and recycling.
  • Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements.
  • Planning best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organising current premises.
  • Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies.
  • Coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility.
  • Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
  • High level of customer focus.
  • Soft Services professional qualifications ideal.
