Ideally we are seeking to find a skilled professional secretary who has law firm experience. In this particular role you will be working supporting three Partners. All are very busy with their demanding and important fee earning schedules.
We are seeking a secretary that has experience working in a busy industrious legal office. Equipped with all the latest computer systems and software applications. Our ideal candidate may be working locally or alternatively at a large City law firm. Quite probably thinking about relocation possibilities, journeying to a new, interesting and exciting county. The cultural mix of seaside and country living certainly has plenty to offer. It’s definitely a far cry from the urban hustle and bustle of routine city life.
The remuneration salary package is negotiable. My clients wish to see all CV’s, leaving “no stone unturned”. Our client’s legal practice has a healthy proportion of valuable private client work that is encouragingly mixed with public funded legal cases/issues.
The ideal and successful candidate will be a professional, well organised and confident in dealing with clients, colleagues and third parties both F2F and on the telephone. Client interface is especially important when working in a legal practice that has a prime focus in developing the Private Client business portfolio. Dealing with private clients in a professional and dignified manner, increases our client’s chances of business referral and repeat instructions.
This is to be considered predominantly a Personal Assistant role. But there will be included administrative duties and documentation work that must be carried out to a very high standard. Other functions will include arranging travel, and pro-active diary management.
The key to success in this particular secretarial role is organisation and careful future planning. Candidates, who have ILEX studies/qualification, Graduation (LLB or LLM); possess advanced Level GCSE qualifications – “will be of special interest to our client”. Additionally, a legal secretary- administration-documentation time served expert, will also qualify for application for this unique career position.
Long to medium term career advancement opportunities could include, – Learning Property Conveyancing. Or alternatively setting up a part-time Micro HR function as the law firm grows in both numbers of employees and financial turn over.
