Our client is a large law firm that is based in the SWUK; they also have other offices based throughout the UK, including Central London. Their competition team is sector focused and their expertise in competition issues relating to digital business, energy and natural resources, real estate, infrastructure and financial services is possibly the best in the law business.

They have a client list of blue-chip house hold names that they advise, and it’s very impressive.

 

The Role:

Our law firm client has instructed us to find a top-tier competition/public procurement lawyer to join a team that works in successful formation.

With a new office opening soon, there are a variety of opportunities. Essentially, our valued client is looking for a winner who can move quickly to senior status.  Under the partner spot-light, progression then will be up to you.

Our clients’ professional team handles a wide cross-section of work across the competition and regulatory field, including all aspects of merger control, cartel investigations, market inquiries and competition litigation.

They also advise on the application of the competition rules to clients’ business activities, as well as on state aid and public procurement law and associated legislation.

Underlying our clients’ approach is an unwavering commitment to provide clients with practical, solutions-orientated advice.

Our successful candidate will assume a vital role in the successful competition and public procurement team.

They will be encouraged to take ownership of client matters, with responsibility for day to day matter management.

The successful candidate will also be given the choice as to which office to work from: West Country or London.

Technical skills and experience:

 

We are looking for a lawyer with the following attributes:

•Technical expertise in and a practical understanding of competition, regulatory, state aid and public procurement issues (ideally, with experience in telecoms, media, energy and transport);

•Accurate drafting, legal research and analytical skills;

•Professional team player.
