Our client an expanding law firm with all available legal public funding contracts in place are looking to expand into both Commercial and General Dispute Resolution.

They seek to appoint a small but productive professional litigation team that are keen and hungry for success.

We are looking for a Lead Senior Partner, three lawyers and a secretary.

Work will involve:-

  • Advising clients concerning business transactions.
  • Property disputes.
  • Professional negligence.
  • General contractual.
  • Share holder disputes.
  • General property litigation.
  • Partnerships.
  • Contentious IT/IP, intellectual property matters.
  • Breach of contract.
  • Landlord and tenant.
  • Contentious probate.
  • Personal Injury.
  • Employment issues.

The senior partner and team will show confidence when advising clients of their rights and obligations.  Interpret laws and rulings for both businesses and individuals.

Analyse probable outcomes of cases, using your expert knowledge of legal precedents.  Regarding contentious cases, you will present your case to counsel and attend trials at County Court.

Present and summarise cases for judges and juries.  Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.

Gather evidence to formulate defence or to initiate legal actions, by interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.

Represent clients in court or before government agencies.  Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.

Select jurors and argue motions, meet with judges and question witnesses during the course of a trial. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants.

Study constitution statutes, decisions, regulations and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases.

Prepare and draft legal documents and contracts.  Prepare legal briefs and opinions and file appeals in courts of appeal.

Negotiate settlements of dispute, network with colleagues and other specialist lawyers to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.

Search and examine public and other legal records to write opinions or establish ownership.

Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

Act as agent, trustee, guardian or executors and administrators of estates.

Excersise ADR and Mediation when instructed.

Market the new business to both corporations and private individuals.

Network at private functions, arranged gatherings, clubs and accociations.  Organise seminars, events and represent the firm at county shows.
