Real Estate Mines and Minerals 2-10 PQE: The firm’s mining lawyers represent a wide variety of domestic and international clients, ranging from junior exploration companies to large producing mining companies, as well as individuals and landowners. My law firm clients mining lawyers’ extensive domestic and international transactional experience includes mineral exploration and option agreements, mining leases, mining purchase and sale agreements, mineral exploration joint ventures and development and operating agreements. We have represented buyers and sellers in multi-million-dollar transactions involving producing mines and processing facilities and regularly perform all associated due diligence, negotiations, documentation and closing matters for such transactions.

We are seeking to find a fee-earner that has been involved in the following work experience: Advise clients on mining title and ownership issues, render mineral title opinions, consult on severed mineral rights, mineral royalties and associated rights and the respective rights of surface and subsurface owners, including access and surface use matters. Consult and advise landowners and mining clients on a wide array of federal, state, county, and associated laws applicable to mineral exploration and development, such as exploration permits, state and federal mineral leases, patented and unpatented mining claims and transactions involving multi-faceted real estate locations.

Work often includes: Projects for sand and gravel, gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, zinc, and uranium, among other commodities. In addition to transactional and property related services, our team is also involved in mining services including compliance, permitting and legislative and administrative matters. You will be working with a wide range of lawyers both internally and externally that have legal experience in such areas as environmental and water law, civil litigation, financing, commercial, bankruptcy and mergers and acquisitions to deliver the best possible, cost effective legal services to our mining clients.

You will be working as a solicitor within the Real Estate Team dealing with mines, minerals, waste, and other natural resources (such as forestry). You will be assisting two Chambers ranked partners who focus on real estate work relating to the mining, minerals and waste sectors, sectors in which the firm has national expertise, assisting with often complex and high value mineral or waste related transactions. You will also help other members of the team with all aspects of property sales and purchases for sites across the country. Our ideal lawyer candidate will be a newly qualified or 1-2 PQE maybe a legal executive. You will have an interest in property issues relating to mines, minerals and other natural resources and a desire to specialise and develop your career in this area. You will have a friendly disposition with the ability to adapt and to be flexible. The ability to work as part of the team (both within the firm and with major clients) is essential. Previous work experience in a strong real estate team dealing with general commercial property and/or rural property is desirable. Exposure to minerals and/or waste sectors would be an additional advantage but is not essential.
