| Job Information | Family Lawyer This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fully qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, wishing to work initially on a part time basis to establish a privately funded Family presence in our client’s Yeovil Office. Consideration would be given to applicant who can also practice in another area of law to provide a full time opportunity with the real prospect to establish an excellent future career in a growing Somerset/Dorset law firm with a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work. The Family department of this modern thinking Legal 500 firm is growing rapidly, bringing exciting opportunities. We would like to hear from Candidates with experience of working with predominantly privately funded Family work. You should have excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside enviable experience of dealing with complex Family related financial cases. THE ROLE: You would be working within our client’s Yeovil office although initially you will work with the Family team in our client’s Taunton Office so as to understand our processes and work systems. You’ll then progress to our client’s Yeovil Office where you will be the sole Family fee earner and will be required to market yourself and the business in order to establish a profitable caseload and presence. You will be self-supportive, undertaking the majority of your own administration with some support provided remotely from our client’s Taunton team. With an organised approach and as a self-starter you would build the caseload to a point where full time work can be sustained. Assistance in administration in our Yeovil office is also likely as this stage and you’ll be required to have input into the recruitment of that role. It goes without saying Client awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service. The role will require travel to provide cover to our client’s other offices in Bridgwater, Taunton, Dorchester and Bridport. Hours of work are between Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm. THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy fee earning Family role with an ability to work alone as required to get the job done. Applicants who have experience of growing a Family department and using marketing and networking to achieve this are most desirable.
