Our client is an expanding law firm situated in Sussex. Over the last few years they have seen turnover triple and are now seeking to add a commercial property office to the business.
With a seamless array of commercial property instructions coming through the door, they have no option but to appoint a new commercial property lawyer.
We are seeking to find one of the following –
A law firm partner looking to relocate to Sussex and head up the new property office
A senior associate looking to make partner within a 24-month time-frame
An ambitious associate looking to make senior associate
Additionally, a newly qualified lawyer looking for their first law firm job opportunity.
These opportunities are available to candidates on a UK nationwide basis.
You will be working in a demanding and very busy commercial property department encountering a wide variety of matters including working on lettings, surrenders, acquisitions and offering advice sought on such matters as security of tenure, rent review and development rights on the commercial property.
We are looking for a highly organised commercial property fee earner who will be managing a busy caseload.
We are looking for competency in handling both Commercial and Residential matters from inception through to completion.
We are seeking to find experience in –
Dealing with Finance transactions acting for borrowers; reviewing and negotiating (where necessary), Security documents such as Facility Agreements, Deed of Rental Assignment, Security Confirmation Deeds as well as advising clients on the terms of the Facility.
Dealing with the Acquisitions and Disposals of Commercial properties entailing: reviewing of title, reviewing and reporting on S106 Agreements, attending to CPSEs, raising additional enquiries, ensuring transactions are executed correctly and within agreed timescales. Keeping all necessary parties well informed and up to date.
Drafting and negotiating new or Lease Renewals or Assignments whether acting for the landlord or tenant; for Offices, Retail, and residential units.
Ability to analyse documents and provide commercial focused and property law advice to clients.
Drafting and dealing with Licences and Rent Deposit Deeds.
Dealing with large scale portfolio disposal of mixed-use developments for the consideration of 3M+.
Drafting and negotiating on Loan Agreements.
Acting for commercial borrowers re-gearing their property portfolios.
Acting on the Disposal of a site of residential units for the consideration of £33million.
Working closely with the Company Commercial department on business acquisitions and attending to the property element of the acquisition.
Acting on residential matters whether it is buying or selling, freehold or leasehold. Liaising with mortgage brokers and estate agents.
