Our client a specialist commercial enterprise is seeking to appoint an accountancy professional with the following experience and credentials.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
Manage outsourced functions.
Oversee the operations of the treasury/finance department, including the design of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
Monitoring business performance.
Monitoring cash flow.
Overseeing and enforcing budgets
Working with other departments.
Managing your team.
Developing financial models.
Planning for the future.
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
Review the performance of competitors and report on key issues to management.
Engage in bench-marking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.
Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput.
Participate in target costing activities to create products that meeting predetermined price goals.
Assist in the determination of product pricing in relation to features offered and competitor pricing
Compile key business metrics and report on them to management.
Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organisations mission. Specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organisational planning.
Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
Management of agency budget in coordination with the CEO.
Development of individual program budgets.
Invoicing to funding sources, including calculation of completed units of service.
Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits.
Disbursement of checks for agency expenses.
Organisation of fiscal documents.
Regular meetings with SEO/Board around fiscal planning.
Supervise and coach office manager on a weekly basis.
Direct annual budgeting and planning process for the organisation’s annual budget with SEO.
Develop and manage annual budget.
Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organisation’s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting.
Managing day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable, producing reports as requested.
Reconciling monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfilling tax related requirements.
Assisting SEO and Board in creating annual organisational budget and monitoring cash flow.
Managing grantor contracts and reimbursement requests.
Maintaining Intersection’s archival and administrative files.
Administering payroll and employee benefits and organisational insurance.
Ensure that Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties.
Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans.
Develop, maintain and monitor all fundraising and accounting systems and procedures capturing all pledges, billings and receipts and for the recording of all revenue transactions, recommend and implement improvements to systems.
Prepare annual audit and be a liaison with all outside vendor.
Manage all departmental functions.
Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance) as well as coordination and communication between functions.
Drive initiatives in the management team and organisationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
Providing consulting services on matters related to funding, tax and insurance questions, business structure and growth.
Contribute to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Serve as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues e.g. copyright, antitrust, governing instruments, partnerships, licensing etc.
