Job Information	Senior Lawyer, Associate Banking – As a result of our client law firm’s strong growth, our client want to recruit talented Solicitors/Associates between 1-5 years PQE for the Devon offices in Bristol and Exeter. The opportunity is to work in a small but growing team getting an excellent mix of transactional experience and responsibility. Our law firm client’s wide range of customers includes high street banks, international financial institutions, national and regional corporates and high net worth individuals. You will get good exposure to a range of domestic and cross border transactions relating to real estate investment and development, corporate and asset acquisitions and general corporate banking. The banking team work closely with our highly regarded corporate and real estate teams as well as the Islamic finance practice group. Our client supports them across a wide range of corporate, owner-managed-business and private equity transactions to help deliver successful outcomes for our law firm client’s customers. For the right candidate there is a genuine opportunity to gain top-quality technical and commercial experience working closely with and being supported by, very experienced lawyers. • You will find: City quality work and training in a premier regional law firm. • An extremely talented, highly motivated team which seamlessly operates as one across our geographic spread. All team members work with each other advising clients on all aspects of transactional banking law including in connection with real estate investment and development, financing corporate and asset acquisitions and general corporate facilities. • Islamic Finance Law. The team also advise on Islamic finance transactions for Islamic banks, investors and individuals based in the UK, GCC and Malaysia. • The opportunity of running your own matters as well as assisting Partners/Associates as part of client service teams on larger transactions. • Exposure to lots of direct client contact and involvement in business development activities. We are looking for: Talented individuals, with a track record of working at a City firm or a highly regarded national or regional practice, with a sound reputation for banking matters. You will be highly motivated to work as part of this highly entrepreneurial, fast growing team. You will be able to demonstrate: • Proven technical knowledge – a sound understanding and practical application of the law. • Commercial awareness and focus. • Excellent drafting and communications skill. • Strong analytical and project management skills. • Strong inter-personal skills, including being a team player with the ability to work independently if required. • A genuine desire and interest in building client relationships.
