Our client’s Commercial Property team has a wealth of expertise to apply to all kinds of property transactions. These range from assisting start-up businesses looking to acquire their first premises through to helping substantial companies looking for new premises or development sites across the counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.

Our valued client understands the commercial property market and has considerable experience in advising businesses in this specialised area of UK law. Their Commercial Property team is particularly strong and offers a unique blend of proven experience and commercial acumen.  Our client is considered to be of the counties leaders, providing legal advice that is wide-ranging and as technically focused as can be.  This includes dealing with complex and large scale property transactions involving acquisitions and/or disposals, joint ventures, property development or funding work.  Our client acts for both landlords and tenants on commercial leasehold transactions, including settling the terms of leases, advice on ongoing property issues, rent review, property portfolio management, insolvency and receivership.

Established for many years, our law firm client’s customers include a few substantial national and many local companies as well as small family run businesses.  Sectors covered include retail, leisure, industrial, agricultural, bio-agricultural, fishing, shipping, construction, eco-cachet as well as the office market.  Whatever their clients require in commercial property terms our client will work closely and attentively to achieve a precision timely transaction.  The law can be daunting and our law firm client works “technically-smart” ensuring maximum focus and performance on all business transactions, concentrating on stringent compliance with UK legal requirements.

Whether one of their clients’ is developing, purchasing, selling or leasing commercial premises, seeking to raise finance or negotiating a joint venture. Our client always pays close attention to detail and keeps stringently within given project timescales – “client instructions”.

We have been retained on a sole agency basis to search for a Commercial Property lawyer with 1-3 years PQE. Our candidate client will ideally be looking for their second legal appointment.  You will be based working from either a Cornwall or Devon office.

Experience in the following work is eagerly sought –

• Buying, selling and leasing of all types of commercial property

• Raising finance, loans, securities

• Planning advice, applications and appeals

• Development work, site assembly, building leases

• Business sales and purchases of going concerns

• VAT on property

• Lease renewals, notices to quit and court applications under Landlord and Tenant Acts

• Licensing in connection with acquisition and disposals of licensed premises.
